About Padaloka
Padaloka (ಪದಲೋಕ) is a Kannada word puzzle game published by Adarsh Desai —
an individually-developed app distributed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
This policy explains exactly what data the app collects, why, and what your rights are.
Data we collect
To understand which parts of the game work for players and to fix bugs quickly,
Padaloka uses two Google Firebase services: Firebase Analytics and
Firebase Crashlytics. They collect, in aggregate and anonymously:
- Gameplay events. Level number completed, time taken, stars earned, hints used, whether bonus words were found (we record only the word's length, never the actual word). Pack progress events when a pack is unlocked.
- Crash reports. When the app crashes, Crashlytics sends us a stack trace plus your device model and operating system version. This is what we use to fix bugs.
- Anonymous install ID. Firebase assigns each app install a random identifier so it can group events from the same device. The ID is not linked to your real identity, your Google account, your email address, or your name.
Data we do NOT collect
- No name, email address, phone number, postal address, or any personal identification.
- No contacts, calendar, location, or photos.
- No payment information — the app is free, with no in-app purchases.
- No microphone, camera, or biometric access.
- No web browsing history outside the app.
- No advertising identifiers — Padaloka contains no ads.
Where the data goes
Anonymous gameplay events and crash reports are sent to Google Firebase servers
(operated by Google LLC, USA, under Google's
Privacy Policy and
Firebase data privacy terms).
We use this data exclusively to:
- Understand which levels are too hard or too easy and balance the puzzle progression.
- Diagnose and fix crashes.
- Track aggregate engagement (e.g. how many players reach Pack 2).
We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer this data to any other third party. We do not use it for advertising — Padaloka has no ads.
Retention
- Analytics events: retained for 14 months per Firebase defaults, then automatically deleted.
- Crash reports: retained for 90 days per Firebase defaults, then automatically deleted.
- Local app state on your device (which levels you've completed, gem balance, current streak): stored only on your device until you uninstall the app or use the in-app reset (tap the version stamp 5 times within 3 seconds to surface the reset prompt).
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Stop the data collection by uninstalling the app — there is no server-side account to delete.
- Reset your local progress via the hidden 5-tap reset on the version stamp at the bottom of the home screen.
- Request deletion of your anonymous Firebase data by emailing the address below — we'll request that Google delete the install ID linked to your device. Because the ID is not linked to any personal identifier, please include the approximate install date and your device model so we can locate it in our dashboards.
Children
Padaloka is rated for ages 13+ on Google Play (PEGI 3 / ESRB Everyone). We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has
used the app, you may request data deletion using the contact information below.
International users
Padaloka is published from Karnataka, India. Data may be processed on Firebase servers
outside your country of residence. By using the app you consent to this cross-border processing.

Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the app evolves — for example, when new features collect
different kinds of data. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revision.
Continued use of Padaloka after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
